On July 11th, the Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held at the Provincial Great Hall of the People, which was a science and technology grand event after the 15th Provincial Party Congress. Provincial leaders such as Yuan Jiajun and Wang Hao attended the meeting. The conference awarded 2 Zhejiang Science and Technology Awards, 44 Natural Science Awards, 21 Technology Invention Awards, 234 Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 5 International Science and Technology Cooperation Awards (Individual). 54 items in the field of new materials, accounting for 18.1%.

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University has been committed to building a world-class talent team, a highland for new material innovation, and a national strategic scientific and technological force. The college teachers took the lead in winning one first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award, one first prize of the Technology Invention Award, and one first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award. They also took the lead in winning one second prize of the Technology Invention Award, and participated in winning one second prize of the Technology Invention Award and two second prizes of the Science and Technology Progress Award.
