In order to enrich the spare time life of female teaching staff, bloom the women’s style of the new era, and spend a full, happy and meaningful festival, the Department of Materials launched a series of women’s Day activities from March 6^th to 9^th, 2019.

Activity one - Lectures on women’s health

At the noon of March 6^th, Dr. Qin Jiale of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Zhejiang University, at the invitation of the college, brought a lecture on women’s health knowledge to all female staff in Yuanwang Pavilion exchange bar. She first introduced the early symptoms, treatment and preventive measures of common diseases harmful to women’s health, such as cervical cancer, uterine fibroids and soft nest cysts. The whole lecture content system, rich cases, very close to women’s life, practical is very strong, by the presence of female staff praise. During the on-site interaction after the meeting, we still felt that we had more than enough. We asked Dr. Qin many questions, and she explained them patiently and in detail, which benefited us a lot.

Activity two - Baking experience class

On the afternoon of March 8^th, the female staff of the Department of Materials participated in the baking experience class held in the fifth canteen of Yuquan Campus. The DIY course includes making cream puffs and butter cookies. From the preparation of the recipe to the demonstration of the process, the pastry Master explained patiently and carefully, and guided by hands. The whole process was vivid and interesting. Baking activities let us experience the happy process of making cakes, enrich the amateur cultural life, set up a bridge of communication, and harvest a sweet touch and a trace of warmth.

Activity three - Lipstick DIY experience class

On the afternoon of March 9^th, the female staff of the school of materials participated in the DIY experience class of the Forbidden City lipstick organized by the trade union of the school. After the teacher’s patient explanation, everyone carefully prepared the exclusive mouth red department, and worked together to wait for the surprise of the finished product. The final product has really lived up to everyone’s hard work and has attracted waves of praise. In contemporary society, women hold up half of the sky and face all kinds of pressures in work and life. The teachers present say that it is difficult to have such a moment of leisure to really relax and experience the romance and beauty of life.
