From July 11th to 13th, 2019, the seventh summer academic camp for national excellent students of Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University was successfully held in Yuquan Campus. The purpose of this activity is to strengthen the exchange and interaction among excellent students of Materials Science in domestic colleges and universities, cultivate and stimulate their interest and enthusiasm in materials science research, promote their in-depth understanding of the school of materials of Zhejiang University with other colleges and universities, and at the same time give excellent students with training potential the opportunity to study in our college. Through layer by layer selection, more than 50 students from all over the country are finally selected Outstanding students from all over the world participated in this activity.
At 9:00 a.m. on July 12th, the opening ceremony was officially held in the 212 lecture hall of Shaw Science and Technology Museum. Liu Yanhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Materials, and Professor Chen Lixin, vice president, attended the opening ceremony.
After the opening ceremony, the students took a group photo and tested their basic knowledge from 10:55 to 11:55.
After that, in order to let the students feel the scientific research environment on the spot, the students visited the State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials of Zhejiang University and the Electron Microscope Center of Zhejiang University under the guidance of the instructors. Under the explanation of teachers, students have a certain understanding of scientific research combined with theoretical knowledge. At the same time, they also feel the perfect, advanced scientific research conditions and pragmatic scientific research atmosphere of the school of materials.
On the afternoon of July 12th, in order to let the students have a deeper understanding of the research direction of each research group of the college, an exchange meeting between campers and professors was held in the 212 lecture hall of Shaw science and Technology Museum.
So far, the 2019 summer camp of Department of Materials of Zhejiang University has been successfully concluded.
