In order to meet the Ninth National Undergraduate Metallographic Skills Competition, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University recently organized the training and selection of metallographic skills. Through college publicity and students’ registration, the college has determined that more than 20 undergraduates including Wang Yuan will participate in the first stage of training and selection.

On November 27^th, 2019, team leader Liu Jiabin held the first plenary meeting to introduce the competition process, matters needing attention and the overall planning of the whole preparation process. After nearly a month of intensive training, the school level preliminaries on December 29^th arrived as scheduled.

On January 3^rd, 2020, the college announced the results of the training and held an award ceremony.

Finally, Mr. Liu Jiabin summarized the work of the first stage of the school training selection, affirmed the hard training of the students in the past month, and deployed the intensive training arrangements and requirements for the six seed players next year, hoping that each contestant can make unremitting efforts and hard training, and create excellent results again in the National Games.
