On the evening of June 5th, 2019, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering held an open course of methods and techniques for making covers and sketches of scientific papers in conference room 212 of Shaw Science and Technology Museum of Yuquan Campus, aiming to improve the scientific research drawing ability of postgraduates and undergraduates, and help the expression and output of scientific and technological achievements.
Zhang Rongxiang, the lecturer of this open class, thinks that postgraduates not only need to have excellent scientific research quality and solid professional skills, but also have unique aesthetic quality, and be able to express and display their own ideas and achievements in a beautiful way. Therefore, he highly praises this open class, which not only responds to the needs of Postgraduates in scientific and technological drawing in a novel form, but also provides a new way to increase their ability Adding the platform of academic exchange and interaction between graduate students is conducive to the construction of campus academic atmosphere.
Dr. Li Haodong, from the Department of Polymer Science, Fudan University, also shared his experience with you, explaining in detail how to use C4D, PS and other software to make beautiful pictures for scientific papers. Starting from the content, design and tools of scientific research drawing, Dr. Li first introduced some basic drawing knowledge and common drawing software to the students, then demonstrated the production of graphene model on the spot, introduced the whole process of professional scientific research software C4D drawing, and how to realize the digitization of the model, and how to create a hierarchical scientific paper drawing.
After some explanation, the students on the scene threw out their doubts about scientific research drawing to Dr. Li one after another, and got Dr. Li’s enthusiastic answer. At the end of the lucky draw, five lucky audience got the chance to go for in-depth study of scientific research drawing.
So far, the open class of “the methods and skills of making covers and sketches of scientific papers” has been successfully completed.
