At 18:30 on November 29, 2019, the final of the fourth Zhejiang University postgraduate laboratory safety knowledge competition was successfully held in Shaw Science and Technology Museum of Yuquan Campus. After a fierce competition in the preliminary competition, among the 36 teams from 11 departments, 8 teams emerged and stood on the final stage.

Before the final, Mr. Zhang Shiliang delivered a speech for the competition, thanking the school for its strong support for the competition, and expressing the college's high attention to the activity. He made two expectations for the competition: he hoped that the students would become the model of laboratory safety learning in various departments in the future academic career; he hoped that the activity would be improved continuously, and the question bank of postgraduate safety knowledge competition would be established, which would eventually become the resources of safety knowledge education and postgraduate ideological and political education. At the same time, he also hopes that everyone can learn and use it flexibly to maintain a safe experimental environment.

After the competition, Miss Zhou Xiaoping summarized and commented on the competition, and highly praised the characteristic laboratory culture construction and team spirit reflected in the competition. At the same time, she also stressed that students should deepen their understanding of laboratory safety, achieve “safety first, prevention first”, and apply the knowledge learned to daily laboratory life.
