    Time: December 25 (Friday), 2020, 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Place: Yuanwang Pavilion, 7th floor, Cao Guangbiao science and technology building.

Lecturer: Researcher Liu Kaihui (Department of Physics, Peking University).

Invited by: Professor Han Gaorong, Associate Professor Ren Zhaohui.

Topic: Atomic manufacturing and application of meter-scale two-dimensional single crystal.

    Abstract

This report will introduce our research progress in interface controlled two-dimensional material ultrafast growth manufacturing, meter scale two-dimensional single crystal manufacturing and two-dimensional material optical fiber devices. The developed materials and technologies are expected to be used in electronic devices, acoustic devices, photocatalysis, thermal management engineering and other fields.

    Brief introduction of the Lecturer

Liu Kaihui, research fellow, project leader, doctoral supervisor of Department of Physics, Peking University, and winner of National Fund for Distinguished Youth. He graduated from Department of Physics, Beijing Normal University (2004) with a Bachelor's degree and graduated from Institute of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2009) with a doctor's degree. He engaged in postdoctoral research in Department of physics, University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to 2014 and worked in school of physics, Peking University in 2014. He is mainly engaged in the preparation of meter scale two-dimensional single crystal materials and the research of nano-spectroscopy characterization technology. He proposed a general preparation route of meter scale two-dimensional single crystal materials and realized the construction of new two-dimensional optical fiber devices. In the past five years, he has published more than 40 corresponding author's papers, including 2 natural journals, 8 nature sub-journals and 1 monograph. At present, he is the deputy editor in chief of Science Bulletin and the project leader of national key R&D program.
