At 13:30 on December 13, the final of the 11th Materials Microstructure Exploration Competition in Zhejiang was formally held in Shaoke Hall 212, Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University.
Prof. Zhang Ze, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ms. Zhang Chuanxia, Deputy Director of Network Information Office, Prof. Zhu Tiejun, Vice Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, Mr. Zhang Shiliang, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the school, Prof. Li Jixue, Prof. Liu Fu, Mr. Tang Chuanhai, Sales Manager of Eastern China, Hitachi Scientific Instruments Co. Ltd.
With the theme of to explore the microstructure of materials and reveal the charm of science, the competition aims to cultivate and improve the scientific research and innovation ability and humanities and arts of college students. Students from Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Quzhou, to name a few, also actively applied for the competition and created a large number of excellent works, and after strict screening, 20 groups of works were finally shortlisted for the final. With the preparation work before the competition, the final of the Material Microstructure Exploration Competition started officially.
The 20 representatives of the contestants were invited to defend on the stage. The specific contents and connotations of each group's works were all encompassing and focused. Some works mentioned about the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the idea of environmental protection, which shows the innovative ability of the students to combine the content of their works with the hot topics of social affairs.
After a fierce competition, the judges scored the scientific, technical and artistic aspects of each work, and came up with the first, second and third prizes of the competition, as well as the best original award by screening the unmodified pattern works. Mr. Zhu Tiejun and Mr. Liu Fu made concluding speeches respectively, affirming the creativity of the students and also giving constructive comments on the competition.
Finally, the judges and guests presented the awards to the winning students.
