On August 11th the Materials Science and Engineering departments of UC Berkeley and Zhejiang University held an Advanced Materials Symposium. Speakers from UC Berkeley and Zhejiang University highlighted advances in Materials Characterization, Design, Discovery, and Applications.
The delegation from School of Material Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University also visited Marvell NanoLab in the morning on August 10th, which is a shared research center with some of the most advanced equipment located in the headquarters of CITRIS.
UC Berkeley and its Department of MSE were founded in 1868. MSE is one of UC Berkeley's oldest departments and has educated the most renowned engineers in the world over the past century and a half. ZJU has been collaborating with UC Berkeley in materials microstructure characterization and performance control.
